Ever catch yourself saying, "Isn't that oil spill gonna go away?" Well, it isn't. Not by itself anyways. How awesome would it be if people from all over came together to help get rid of it? It would be incredible.
All the animals, plants and organisms caught in the middle of this are the ones who didn't do anything to start it. They were there having a great time living normally, but now they are all struggling to survive in their very own home filled with oil. Some of the animals in the water have to breath in/drink it and we ALL have to do something to save them before some of the species become extinct.
And I know that we can't just all fly down to the Gulf of Mexico to help. We might want to, but we can't. :) What we can do is keep recycling, trying to use less water, planting trees, picking up garbage, etc. It may not seem like much, but it makes a HUGE difference in the long run.
We were only given one planet, let's not destroy it. :)
We can't just sit back. We have to stand up, use our voice, and do something.
